DETERMINANTS OF TRANSFORMATION OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM AS A SOCIAL INSTITUTION

Abramova M.A., Farnicka M.

Abstract

The subject of this research is the determinant factors of the transformation of the education system as a social institution. The focus of this study is the education system. The aim of the work is to identify the factors of transformation of the education system as a social institution in different countries. The problem of reformation in education system is characterized by the search for ways to improve its quality and it has almost identical resolution strategies in different countries. The results of the comparative study presented in the report of Barber Michael, the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Education, Health and Social Affairs, and Murshed Mona, Doctor of Philosophy in the field of economic development, as well as the statistical data on the education in Russia and Poland show the commonalities in the search for ways to develop the education system as a social institution. The comparison of class size rates and the number of teachers in educational institutions did not give a clear answer to the question whether a definite relationship between the number of students and teachers and the quality of education exists. During this analysis diverse traditions in the countries were taken into account e.g. attitudes towards a teacher by management, the state as well as parents and pupils. The comparison of financing of education systems showed the harmful effect of the introduction of per capita funding, which latently entails discharging the exemption of the state from its responsibility to preserve human potential in peripheral areas. As a result, among the socio-cultural determinants that transform the system of education and improve the quality of education, the authors identified the following: the level of teachers training, decent financial support for education that takes into account all its goals, including the preservation of human potential in rural areas as well as the increase in the level of mutual trust in the society.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTORS OF THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF MODERN UNIVERSITIES IN RUSSIA AND CHINA

Brazhnik E.I., Yuan F.

Abstract

The article presents some results of studying the peculiarities of the scientific and educational environment in modern universities of Russia and China. The development of level-based university education in Russia in the context of international interaction in the sphere of education has actualised the problem of studying the prospects for the development of the scientific and educational environment of universities in foreign countries in general, and in China in particular. This country is characterized by some peculiarities of socio-cultural development and is currently developing multilateral relations with the Russian Federation, including higher education. For the further constructive social interaction with Chinese universities, it is important to study the scientific and educational environment in these universities by revealing the internal and external links of the scientific and educational environment and identifying innovative technologies for its development. This study relates to the field of comparative pedagogy. The task of the study is to analyze the factors and conditions for the development of the scientific and educational environment in modern universities of the People's Republic of China. The research systemizes experiences of developing the scientific and educational environment in universities through the example of Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Nanjing University. The methodological basis of the study is the culturological approach, which is one of the leading in comparative pedagogical studies. The culturological approach allows to comprehensively explain the processes taking place in the society of a foreign country as a whole and, in education as a cultural phenomenon in particular. This approach is evident at the technological level when the researcher chooses methods and techniques of the comparative research. Theoretical methods of the study include such traditional methods of comparative pedagogy as the comparative method, the hermeneutic analysis of the normative and legal framework for the development of higher education, the analysis of the curricula, programmes, teaching aids, methodological materials, etc. The expected results of the study will lead to the identification of both the factors for the development of the scientific and educational environment in Chinese universities and innovative technologies of scientific and educational development in Chinese universities in comparison to Russian ones, as well as the peculiarities of social and pedagogical conditions for involving students in research activities.

ORGANIZATION OF STUDENT INTERNSHIP IN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE SOUTH DENMARK WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ACADEMIC MOBILITY

Zhmakina N.L., Telegina I.S., Brunsgaard M.H.

Abstract

Academic mobility of students is one of the issues of modern professional education. It is a process of integration of Russian universities into the International educational space. In the 21st century Russian universities have become actively involved in students and teachers exchange, which made this issue one of the most relevant in the development of national education. Academic mobility makes it possible to create a common European area of higher education, that is to make it possible for a student from any European university to get a job in his/her profession both in their homeland and abroad. The article considers the nature of the concept «academic mobility»; it also presents some internship experience of the University College South Denmark students, which is organised by the teachers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Nizhnevartovsk State University, within the framework of academic mobility of students at educational institutions in Nizhnevartovsk and Nizhnevartovsky District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. Particular attention is paid to the methodical recommendations, which help students accomplish their internship successfully, describe their results and analyze gained experience. This work may be of interest when organizing internship in the framework of academic mobility for students who are subject to teacher training and are planning to work in pre-school, supplementary and school education.

ON THE PROBLEM OF EMOTIONAL REGULATION AMONG MIDDLE LEVEL MEDICAL STAFF

Ibragimova L.A., Isupov P.V.

Abstract

Current conditions are usually characterized as a time of dynamic changes. Today’s rapidly changing world is becoming more and more technological, informative, virtual and emotionally indifferent. The new world dictates new requirements for people of helping professions and, above all, for doctors and teachers. On the one hand, professional activity is offered to be considered as a service (educational, medical, etc.), on the other hand, this process, which is probabilistic and multivariate in situations and subjects of professional activity, does not undergo unambiguous standardization. It goes without saying that in such conditions the subject of work is influenced by modern trends. It is likely that it was precisely teachers and health workers who have been hit particularly hard. Possible reasons for professional deformation of health workers (doctors and nurses) have been repeatedly described in sociology, medicine and psychology. At the same time, no programs aiming to maintain the health of medical personnel have been proposed. On the other hand, while seeking «medical service», it is more and more frequent that one faces indifference, formalism and even rudeness. The article proves that these unpleasant phenomena result from the emotional exhaustion of health workers. Therefore, preparation of the future middle level medical staff for emotional regulation as the most important personal and professional quality in the process of vocational training seems to be a promising perspective to maintain the health of medical personnel. The article presents the results of analysis of theoretical works and dissertational researches on the stated problem. The authors prove the possibility and perspectives for pedagogical work on the development of emotional regulation in students of medical colleges.

PREPARATION OF TEACHERS FOR CHANGES BY SUPPLEMENTARY PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Kandaurova A.V.

Abstract

Modern social changes occurring in all the spheres of human activity, not only in Russian but all over the world, often have a destabilizing effect on men. In the middle of the last century, a number of foreign scientists (E. Toffler, A. Shchyts, P. Shtompka, and others) proved that a person responds to permanent changes with the expenditure of their life resources. A constant need for adaptation to changes results in emotional stress caused by the increased activity of the endocrine system, which disbalances homeostasis. As a result men suffer from stress and emotional exhaustion. The teaching profession, stressful as it is, requires considerable psychoemotional resources. Without diminishing the importance of preventive work, it should be said that it is working teachers who require special attention because they implement all the changes and innovations into the educational practice. Meanwhile, in the current situation teachers themselves feel «infinitely tired». As a result of the theoretical analysis of domestic and foreign sources, the article proves the urgency of this problem. As empirical evidence, a study was made of the parameters of teachers' readiness for change and their viability indicators were assessed, for which appropriate methods were used. As a result, it was proved that teachers are hardly prepared for changes. Moreover, constant changes destabilize and cause emotional stress. At the same time, the indicators of viability among teachers comply with standard ratios. It can be concluded that the «endless fatigue» of modern teachers may result from the limit of their life resources. Hence the task to maintain the health of modern teachers is very important for the system of supplementary professional pedagogical education. Within the framework of professional development, it is possible to prepare teachers to adapt to changes, to develop coping behavior in today's difficult conditions, to increase their life resources.

GROUNDS FOR THE INTEGRATION OF PROBLEM-BASED AND LEARNER CENTERED APROACHES IN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Kovalevskaya E.V., Kolesnik L.I.

Abstract

The aim of the article is to identify the grounds for the integration of problem-based and learner-centered approaches in professional education on the basis of the comparative analysis of their main organizing principles, which were presented in works by M.I. Makhmutov and I.A.Zimnyaya. The article deals with such issues as the definition of the notion «integration of approaches» in professional education; analysis of main principles of problem-based and learner-centered approaches; identification of the grounds for integration of these approaches into professional education by correlation of their basic principles. Problem-based approach is aimed at the development of creative thinking, creative interpersonal relations and creative personality in the process of joint creative work to put and solve problems in the social and professional fields on different levels of problematicity. Learner-centered approach is aimed at the development of a personality in an active process while solving a hierarchy of educational problems. The integration of problem-based and learner-centered approaches is defined in the article as a process, which results in the combination of these approaches on the basis of correlation of their foundational principles. In this regard, an «approach» is viewed as an educational strategy for the development of the personality of a student as a future specialist on the basis of the above mentioned approaches. According to the authors the following principles are basic, i.e. motivation, goal-setting, consciousness, problemacity, binarity, that is subject-subject relations between a teacher and a student. It should be noted that both in problem-based and learner-centered approaches, problemacity is considered as a common notion along with such notions as a problem situation, a problem task, a problem, problematisation.

ORGANIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN HIGH SCHOOL: STREAM GROUP OR INDIVIDUALLY ORIENTED VARIANT?

Leushin I.O., Leushina I.V.

Abstract

The article examines the advantages and disadvantages of the individually-oriented and group variants of the educational process; a comparative analysis is conducted in the time interval covering the Soviet and post-Soviet periods of work of universities. It is shown that some elements of group preparation no longer correspond to the trends of the times, and an individually-oriented version of training does not guarantee graduate competence established by the requirements of the educational standard. A variant of a reasonable balance between the well-known organizational forms of training in university is suggested. As a criterion for the degree of competence formation, the authors see the actual quality of the graduate's training, their ability to successfully deal with the tasks from the field of their future professional activity. To do this, it is important to enable students to influence the development of their educational trajectories in a meaningful way by deciding on the ratio of contact and independent work as well as on the ratio of individual sessions to stream-group ones. Аn example of the organizational structure of a training course, discipline and a module is given. It will ensure a greater degree of freedom for a teacher and student in combining classroom and extracurricular forms of study and independent work of the student.

Trofimenko M.P.

Abstract

Rapid changes occurring in the country, increasing globalization and the inevitable involvement of Russian society in global processes and the expansion of communicative space lead to the growing demand for specialists who are competent in all fields of human activity. This means that the problems of efficiency in professional activity are relevant. Efficient communication is an essential quality for a modern professional on the global labor market. Hence, the formation and further development of a professional communicative competence is a task to be solved in higher education institutions. In this regard, the requirements for the level of Foreign Language Teaching and foreign language proficiency for the graduates of non-linguistic programs of universities are changing continuously. The purpose of this article is to show that a sufficient level of foreign language (English) proficiency is one of the conditions for a successful accession of our university into the world educational space and then into a professional one. Gulyaeva S.S., Syrovatska A.F.

Abstract

The approval of the Regulation «On the All-Russia Physical Culture and Sports Complex «Ready for Labour and Defense» has given rise to a new social project in Russia. At present a widespread promotion of healthy lifestyle is among the top priority areas of socio-economic development of the country. It means involving population in systematic sporting activities and creating a demand for regular fitness activity. Thus, the introduction of the All-Russia physical culture and sports complex «Ready for Labour and Defense» can be a powerful instrument to find a solution to the problems. The main objectives of the complex are as follows: to increase the number of citizens systematically engaged in fitness activities; to create a public need for regular physical education and sport as well as commitment to physical perfection and development of healthy lifestyle skills; to increase the general level of knowledge about physical culture, i.e. means, methods and forms for self-training. However, there is a lack of a unified mechanism for the introduction of the All-Russia national physical culture and sports complex in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Moreover, neither regional, climatic, geographic nor socio-economic features of any particular region are taken into consideration. Therefore, the aim of this work is to reveal organizational and practical aspects of the introduction of the All-Russia national physical culture and sports complex «Ready for Labour and Defense» in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

PATTERS OF CLIMBING A STARTING SECTION OF THE ROUTE AMONG HIGHLY QUALIFIED CLIMBERS

Kotchenko Y.V.

Abstract

The article presents the results of the research, which characterizes the influence of the time spent on climbing a starting section of the route on the final result in sport climbing completion. The author used the data obtained from the analysis of 483 starts of highly qualified sportsmen during important international competitions in lead climbing. Conducted studies revealed a correlation between the starting section time and the end result and determined the extent of its impact. In the general observation group, the correlation is low: r = - 0,21 ( p ≪ 0,001). It was established that the degree of correlation depends on the route length and the complexity level of the route starting section. On short routes the correlation coefficient drops to r = - 0,15 ( p = 0,066), on the medium and long ones it increases up to: r = - 0,36 ( p ≪ 0,001). On some routes the coefficient reached r = - 0,62. The research has determined an inverse relation, i.e. the less time is spent on the first eight movements, the higher is the likelihood of a better result. During the analysis, the equation of a linear relation was constructed, which allows to calculate the optimal time for the first eight movements. Estimated time included in a tactical plan and spent on climbing, with a high degree of probability ( p ≪ 0,001), will contribute to the efficiency improvement in sports performance during international competitions.

VALUE ASPECT OF FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL AND APPLIED ABILITIES BY MEANS OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AMONG FUTURE TEACHERS

Mikhailova N.V.

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of achieving high efficiency in professional training of future teachers. The urgency of the issue is obvious. The purpose of the article is a theoretical generalization of the research results, which indicated the efficiency of the use of physical culture in the process of formation and development of professional and applied abilities among students of the pedagogical field. Based on the main provisions of the conceptual models of pedagogical activity and pedagogical education, human abilities, value-oriented exploration of the reality and the use of physical education to improve the effectiveness of educational process, the author analyzes and conceptualizes theoretical, methodological and empirical premises pertaining to the holistic vision of the value aspect in the formation of professional and applied abilities of future employees by means of physical culture. The breadth of the formed methodological basis requires a reinforcement of the content relevant to the conceptual model of professional physical culture (author - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor S.S. Korovin), which is predominant in the scientific search of the author. The preponderant reliance on the word and spirit of this conceptual model allowed to identify the value aspect of the formation of professional and applied abilities as one of the most important in relation not only to the profiled physical education of students, but also to the entire process of their professional training. Moreover, the article pays attention to the disclosure of the key features of professional and applied abilities of future teachers, their relationship with the subject-subject nature of pedagogical interaction, a creative approach to the work that is obligatory for an educator, the health of students, etc. By revealing new theoretical horizons, this article creates prerequisites for an increase in the efficiency of future teachers training in higher educational institutions. It also provides a basis for further researches in the field of professional physical culture.

ATTITUDE OF THE PARTICIPANTS OF TEMPORARY CHILDREN’S ASSOCIATIONS TO THE COMPETITIVE SPORT ACTIVITIES

Pashchenko L.G.

Abstract

This article presents a comparative analysis of the demonstration of motivation for physical training and sports, which characterizes attitude to the competitive activity of primary school age children who attend day care summer camps of various types, e.g. leisure, creative, sports or intellectual. 102 schoolchildren aged 9-11(67 girls and 35 boys) took part in the study. The following methods were used: analysis and review of scientific and methodological literature, analysis of children's recreation programs, questionnaires and methods of mathematical statistics. The results of the research indicated that the environment created in the conditions of temporary children's associations is able to influence demonstration of motivation for competitiveness and dominance in physical culture and sports activities. The highest manifestation of such motives was identified in girls who attended the camp that implemented the «Street Games» program. This program involved the development of a variety of playing techniques. Same degree of motivation was demonstrated by the young athlete-girls who attended the sports and health camp. A low level of the manifestation of the motive for competitiveness was found in girls and boys who chose a day care summer camp of leisure type. The obtained results should be taken into account when developing programs for children's recreation in the conditions of a summer camp and when including competitive events in daily schedule; when using special methods to increase the competitive activity of children in physical and sports activities. When developing a camp program, it is necessary to provide a possibility for all children to participate in sports competitions and the creation of conditions for competing not only in open struggle but with oneself as well.

AXIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF INCLUSIVE PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF STUDENTS

Semenova Y.V., Nalobina A.N.

Abstract

Inclusive physical education is for people with persistence in health limitations, that is a disability and it is very important for the future teacher of physical culture to have full information about the life mundanity of this target group. The goal of physical education of university students, including those with disabilities, is the formation of the person's physical culture as well as the ability to use various means of physical culture, sports and tourism for psychophysical preparation and self-training for future professional activity. This is due to various possibilities of the physical state, including the general development, morphofunctional and mental data of each disabled student, based on their congenital or acquired pathology and is possible only if the understanding of the above aspects is deepened in the future specialists professional activity. The urgency of inclusive physical education is undoubtful because by the completion of study the future teacher should clearly understand the problems of this target group as well as be able to consciously bring their own experience to use modern technologies for efficient work. The preliminary questionnaire survey carried out among the 1st -4th year students of Siberian state University of physical culture and sports majoring in «Physical culture for people with disabilities» made it possible to identify the interest for the future profession, the importance of inclusive physical education and difficulties in coping with the teaching material. The obtained results provide objective information about the need to increase both the theoretical and practical sections in inclusive physical education.

NEW RULES OF FINA/AIRWEAVE SWIMMING WORLD CUP SERIES: «PROS» AND «CONS» (BASED ON THE COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE OF KATINKA HOSSZÚ, A MULTIPLE OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST, WORLD CHAMPION AND WORLD RECORD HOLDER)

Trescheva O.L., Karpeev A.G.

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the research of the competitive experience of Katinka Hosszú (Hungary) multiple Olympic gold medalist, world champion and world record holder in Individual Medley. From 2012 to 2016 she repeatedly became the winner of FINA World Cups, European and World Championships, set world records and realized her potential in main competitions of each macro-cycle. The number of competitions affects the consistency of results and helps sportsmen to stay in shape and compete for a long period, which leads to the improvement of results. This performance enhancement within a macro-cycle is statistically related to the total number of competitions, which underlines the importance of quantitative characteristics of competitive experience to achieve the necessary athletic improvement. The study showed that Hosszú’s competitive experience has been growing year on year, though that is not the case with the Olympic year of 2016. We can also see the changes in the proportions of distances covered in the competitions using different swimming styles, which led to the changes in the exerted forces in 200 and 400 Individual Medley, and resulted in World Records in 2015 and 2016. New regulations for the organization of FINA/Airwave World Cups set limits on the competitive experience of the leading world swimmers. The article shows both positive and negative sides of such changes.

SCREENING EVALUATION OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF FEMALE STUDENTS

Sheveleva I.N., Safonova Z.B.

Abstract

Social conditions and modern lifestyle have a negative impact on students’ health in general and reproductive health in particular. In this regard of great importance is the preventive measures complex used not only by doctors, but by «Physical Education» teachers as well. At the same time that is possible only if they have proficient knowledge in physiology, psychology and the theory and technique of physical education in regard to the maintenance and improvement of reproductive health today and in the future. It is clear that the preventive measures for female students within the framework of Physical Education training programme are of crucial importance because the development of vital motor skills and abilities comes to an end by their graduation. There is a persistent necessity for physical exercises which would contribute to the maintenance of job/work performance and health improvement for many years. The authors’ more than 10-year experience in scientific research and practice with female students in order to identify the factors contributing to the deterioration in reproductive health has led to the development of a screening system for the assessment of reproductive health in physical education. In the course of work, not only screening of reproductive health but also traditional methods of studying fitness and morphofunctional parameters of female students were undertaken. The results obtained by the modified screening system give teachers objective information about reproductive health problems and contribute to the search for the means of physical education focused on the reproductive health maintenance and improvement.
