It was noted that during primary prophylaxis the values of intima-media complex of these arteries allow performing risk stratification of patients and selection of high-risk patients for aggressive lipid-lowering pharmacotherapy.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В обзорной статье представлено дуплексное сканирование каротидных артерий как ключевая наиболее информативная современная неинвазивная инновационная технология диагностики субклинического атеросклероза.
