The review article reflects the specific features of involutive cognitive functions in elderly people. Furthermore the basis of these changes is the natural physiological process of morphofunctional remodeling of the human body in general and of the central nervous system in particular. As a result, the elderly and senium people have cognitive decline, and in the presence of provoking medical and social factors and comorbid diseases they may have transient cognitive dysfunction.

В обзорной статье отражены особенности инволютивных когнитивных функций у лиц старших возрастных групп. При этом отмечено, что в основе этих изменений лежит естественный, физиологический процесс морфофункционального ремоделирования не только всего организма, но и центральной нервной системы. Вследствие этого у лиц пожилого и старческого возраста наблюдается когнитивное снижение, а при наличии провоцирующих медико-социальных факторов и коморбидных заболеваний может отмечаться транзиторная когнитивная дисфункция.
